[Correction: third paragraph has been edited to correct the spellings of Matt McKibbin and Ubitquity]

Ubitquity LLC team is going to hold the first Blockchain Real Estate Meetup in Washington DC January 31. The event aims to explore the how blockchain technology will effect real estate transactions, records, and investing.

It will bring together experts from the traditional real estate sector as well as Bitcoin and Blockchain enthusiasts to create connections that will benefit both industries, CoinTelegraph reported.

“This initial meetup will be to meet the people in the DC area who are interested in the intersection of this technology and the tracking of property”, said Matt McKibbin, Director of Business Development for Ubitquity LLC and organizer of the event.

The Meetup will provide a platform for the free exchange of ideas and knowledge based on objective evidence. Moreover, as it is open, anyone interested in blockchain technology or real estate can attend it.

“We expect to meet people in and around D.C who are involved in both sectors. From real estate title, clerks, to Blockchain consultants, developers, etc. It will be about the spreading of ideas, making industry contacts, investors, etc. We see real estate as the next big thing for 2016”, Nathan Wosnack, CEO of Ubitquity, told CoinTelegraph.

Wosnack said that the Meetup has attracted many people from different companies who are interested in making new connections and gaining new knowledge.

“With Ubitquity being pioneers in Blockchain real estate (title/deeds) for our upcoming platform, and a team of experts in both, we thought we'd take the first step in starting the Meetup and see how it unfolds. So far the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive”, he added.

Ubitquity is a US-based company that is building a blockchain-secure, encrypted/distributed storage platform with notarization functionality for consumers and enterprise.
